News: Levis (5 Aug. 1943)
Surnames: Tichy, Holub, McCarty, Cernik, Horton Source: The Clark County Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 5 Aug. 1943 Levis – by Mrs. Fred Sears Mr. and Mrs. Charley Tichy and Miss Helen went to Alma Center last week Thursday to visit their brother, Steven and family, for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Holub and Joe, Jr., spent Sunday afternoon with their parents and Mr. and Mrs. Fred McCarty. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cernik and daughter Tillie were Neillsville shoppers Monday. Mrs. William Horton, Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Holub and daughter Lorraine and Mrs. Joe Holub, Sr., and Mrs. Fred McCarty drove to Marshfield Monday and found heavy showers had visited eastern Clark and Wood Counties that morning.
