Goeltz, Frances E. (Marriage – 24 May 1944)

Miss Frances E. Goeltz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Goeltz, and Delbert Neitzel, son of Mrs. Florence Neitzel, were united in marriage in a candle-light double ring ceremony at the home of the bride Wednesday evening, May 24, 1944, at 7:00 P.M., Rev. Harry Lee of Thorp reading the marriage ceremony. The bride was attended by Miss June Comeaux of Oshkosh as maid of honor and Mrs. Leone Younker of Dorchester and Miss Geraldine Neitzel of Abbotsford as bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Frank Goeltz, Jr., as best man and Leo Younker and James Neitzel. June Comeaux sang, “Because” and “Oh Promise Me,” accompanied by C. A. Nelsen. Mr. Nelsen also played Mendhelson’s wedding march and during the evening, “To Our Evening Star.”

The bride was attired in a street length two-piece white silk jersey suit and her corsage consisted of orchids. Miss Comeaux wore a two-piece black and white checked suit, Miss Younker a yellow two piece silk jersey suit and Miss Neitzel, a white linen two piece suit. All three attendants wore mixed corsages.

A reception was given at the bride’s home after the wedding, the home being nicely decorated with flowers and blue, white, green and yellow crepe paper for the occasion. In the evening, a wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion.

Out of town people present were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bradley and Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Bradley of Fisk, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Buehring, Miss June Comeaux and Mrs. Carl Wickmann of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Kloehn of Picketts, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Younker of Dorchester, Mrs. Florence Neitzel of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rahn of Curtiss, Mrs. Ruth Bauer of Medford, Mrs. Joe Younker and daughter, Rita, of Dorchester, Mrs. Tillie Fruith of Milwaukee.

The couple will make their home at Dorchester where the groom is engaged in farming.
