Surnames: Perschke, Hoff, Betermann, McCorrison, Herrick, Peterson, Machlett, Tonn Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 11/23/1944 Perschke, Marion (Marriage – 18 Nov. 1944) Miss Marion Perschke of Wausau, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Perschke, became the bride of St. Harley Hoff of Curtiss, in a service performed at Trinity Lutheran church at Wausau on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 3:30 P.M. The Rev. E. H. Betermann officiated. The bride, attired in a white ensemble, carried an all-white bouquet of pom poms, mums and calla lilies and was attended by her sister, Virginia Perschke, who wore a rose ensemble and carried a bouquet of pink mums and white pom poms. The best man was Jack McCorrison of Marshfield, brother in law of the groom. The bride, a graduate of Wausau High School, was employed at the Employers’ Mutual. Lt. Hoff entered military service in Dec. 1942, and attended Ohio University one year during his service. He graduated and received his commission at Officers’ Training Camp at Ft. Lee, Va. in August, 1944. The groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hoff, were hosts at a reception in their honor on Tuesday evening at their home in Curtiss. The couple left on Wednesday morning for Wyoming where the groom will be stationed. Curtiss friends, besides the family, who attended the wedding at Wausau were Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Machlett and Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Tonn.
