Surnames: Schaefer, Burger, Schultz Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 07/05/1945 Schaefer, Bernice Ann (Marriage – 30 June 1945) St. Thomas Catholic church in Milan was the scene Saturday morning of a pretty wedding, when Miss Bernice Ann Schaefer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Werner C. Schaefer, town of Holton, and Maj. Joseph L. Burger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Burger, town of Wien, were united in marriage by the Rev. Raymond Schultz. The bride’s mother, who has been church organist for many years, played the wedding marches and the accompaniment for the choir. The bride who was presented in marriage by her father, wore an entrained gown of white satin and net and a finger-tip veil caught to a Juliet cap headdress.
