LeLor, Hazel (Marriage – 13 Dec. 1945)

Hazel LeLor, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith of Colbym and Herbert O. Pacholke of Colby, exchanged marriage vows in a nuptial ceremony read in the First Evangelical and Reformed church at Colby Thursday, December 13th, at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Robert Leonhardt officiated and C. A. Nelsen played the wedding marches. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She was attired in a white satin and lace wedding gown and a fingertip veil of illusion caught to a headdress of seed pearls. Her bouquet consisted of roses and pompons.

Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Willard Bergen, Madison, a brother in law and sister of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Fults, Stetsonville, brother in law and sister of the groom; Miss Bernice Pacholke, a cousin of the groom, and Art Elstrom, Chicago. Virginia Bergen, Madison, a niece of the bride, was flower girl. She wore pink satin and carried a colonial bouquet of mixed flowers.

Mrs. Bergen was attired in a pink satin and lace frock and Mrs. Fults and Miss Pacholke wore blue satin and net gowns. All carried arm bouquets of roses and pompons.

A reception was given at the Lloyd Smith home which was nicely decorated with holiday decorations. A dance was given at Cherokee hall in the evening.

Following a week’s wedding trip in northern Wisconsin the couple will reside in Abbotsford where Mr. Pacholke is proprietor of an oil station. They will be at home to friends Dec. 20.

Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pacholke, and Bernice Pacholke of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pacholke, Mercer; Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Fults and daughter, Sandra, Stetsonville; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fults, Abbotsford; Pvt. Homer Smith of Fort Sheridan, Ill.; Keith Como, of Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Willard Bergen and daughter, Virginia, and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Delves, Madison; Talbert Erickson, Strum; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Smith, Mrs. Nichols, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Erickson of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Chester Smith, Loyal; Art Elstrom, Chicago.
