Mr. George Badzinski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Badzinski of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Margie Coates, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Coates of Reseburg (Clark Co.), were united in marriage at eight o’clock last Wednesday morning at St. Hedwig’s Church, Rev. F.A. Kulig officiating. They were attended by Joe Badzinski, as best man, and Emily Gulczynski as bridesmaid. The second attending couple was Stanley Staszcuk and Gertrude Badzinski. The matron of honor, Ruby Verkuilen, sister of the bride, wore a pale pink gown with the wind dress with matching headdress.

The bride was attired in a white crepe de chien gown with long train and long veil, the crown of which was entwined with lilies of the valley. She carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. Her bridesmaids were attired in light blue embroidered organdie with matching headdress and carried pink roses and sweet peas. The groom and attendants wore tuxedos.

After the ceremony a wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, where dinner and supper were served to about one hundred relatives and friends.

The bride is a graduate of the Thorp High School of the class of ’35, and the groom is engaged in farming in the town of Withee, where they will be at home to their many friends.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Michael Strozak and family of Gilman, Harry Badzinski, Mr. and Mrs. John Staszcuk and family of Gilman, Miss Gertrude Badzinski and Stanley Staszcuk of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Badzinski and family of Boyd, Floy Colby of Strum, Mrs. Tom Larsen and Mrs. Milton Schoen of Milwaukee.
