Petke, Albert & Emeline (Divorce – 2 June 1945)

Two divorces were granted in circuit court at Neillsville on Saturday by Judge E. W. Crosby.

An absolute divorce was granted Emeline Petke, Withee, from Albert Petke, also of Withee, on grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment. The couple were married at Colby in September, 1940. They had no children.

In the matter of Alice Pethers vs. Roy Pethers, the court granted Alice Pethers an absolute divorce, also on the grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment. There was one child born to the couple, Charles Franklin, now 19, and in the Navy.

Alice Pethers was given custody of the son by the court, and a stipulation is to be entered into the judgement as to division of a small amount of property. Both are residents of the town of Longwood. They were married at Duluth, Minn., in November, 1923.
