Obit: Pederson, Gus A. #2 (1877 – 1945)

(13 Sept. 1877 – 19 Aug. 1945) Gus A. Pederson died of a heart ailment Sunday morning at 9:30 o’clock at his home in Unity at the age of 67 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Unity Methodist church, Rev. Floyd Fahlgren of Neillsville officiating. Pall bearers were E. E. Capes, Howard Crossgrove, Jack Young, Ben Apfelbeck, Theo. Lenz, Charles Runge. Those in charge of the flowers were Norma Wussow, Betty Wussow, Lavon Domer, Maxine Salter, Joane Tennis and Leona Mews. Mr. Pederson was born at Aurora, Ill., Sept. 13, 1877, and was married to Louise Cleveland on November 16, 1899, at Ocheydan, Iowa. He received his education at Aurora, and in 1909 came to Wisconsin, living in Greenwood, Colby, and Unity. He spent the past 15 years at Unity, and while there held various school offices. Surviving are his wife, two children, Truman Pederson of Neillsville and Mrs. Elmer Winson of Edgar; four grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Pederson of Washington; and a sister, Mrs. Charlotte Stephen of Los Angeles, Calif. A daughter, Fern, died June 1, 1919, and two brothers and two sisters also preceded him in death. |
