Heintz, Stephen (23 July 1938 - 19 Dec. 2007)

Stephen Heintz, age 60, of rural Sparta, passed away on December 19, 2007, in his home outside of Sparta.

Steve was born on July 23, 1938, to Leo and Marjorie Heintz in Wisconsin. He was the owner and chef of a restaurant for most of his life. After retirement he was handy at helping anyone do anything they needed.

He loved hunting and fishing up north with his friends. His weekly trips for coffee and solving all the problems of the world with his buddies was something he enjoyed too.

Steve is survived by his mother, Marjorie Erdman of Wisconsin Rapids; his daughters, Norine (Kenneth) of Abbotsford, and Theresa Brabble of Dixon, Mo.; two brothers, Doug (Lucy) Heintz of Port Edwards, and Gary (Jan) Heintz of Phillips; two sisters, Judy of Wisconsin Rapids, and Loree of Colo.; five grandchildren, Nathan (Tina) Jones of Pinedale, Wyo., Shane Brabble of Mo., Tashina Jones of Abbotsford, Nichole Brabble of Kansas City, Mo., and Tanya Brabble of Dixon, Mo.; one great-granddaughter, Carlee Elizabeth Jones of Abbotsford; his step-mother, Inice Heintz of Wis.; along with many dear neighbors and friends.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Leo Heintz; his wife, Laura (Hunt) Heintz; and a brother, Alan Heintz.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Norwalk. Burial was at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Baraboo. Family and friends were invited for visitation at the church in Norwalk, from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
