Colby - Oct. 31, 1946

Mrs. Ernest Schultz returned from the Marshfield hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Braun returned from Fifield for an indefinite stay in Colby.

Mr. and Mrs. Roland Bechman and son of Kiel spent the week-end at the Walter Ebeling home.

Mr. and Mrs. James Durland of LaCrosse, formerly of Colby, spent several days on business in Colby.

Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Pierce, who recently sold their farm, moved to Stocton, Ill., where they will make their home.

Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Koffarnus of Wausau spent the week-end with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ebert, Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schmidt and son, Alfred, of Milan were dinner guests at the Ed Zillmann home last week Wednesday.

Miss Florence Evans and Miss Anna Gries of Dorr, Mich., were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hassenohrl the past week.

Mr. and Mrs. Jens Bierking, Melvin Mossing and Mrs. Marvel Mossing of Spring Valley visited at the H. P. Mossing and the Ed Zillmann homes last Thursday.

A daughter, Carol Ann, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Andrew on Wednesday, October 21, at the home of the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Wucherpfennig, in Colby.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Draeger of Colby and Frank and Albert Panke of Park Falls spent several days visiting relatives at Oshkosh, Milwaukee and Racine.

Frank Marquardt of Colby and Fred Pacholke of Mercer left last Thursday for South Dakota where they will spend about ten days pheasant hunting.

A daughter, Mary Alice, was born to Mr. and Mrs. Walter K. Dean at St. Louis. Mrs Dean is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Hanson, former Colby people.

Stanley Morales and daughters, Camile, and Raquel of Chicago arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Kraus last week Wednesday. Mr. Morales returned home Friday but the girls remained for a two weeks visit at the home of their grand parents.

Mrs. Anna Dessloch returned to her home in Colby Tuesday after spending a week in Prairie du Chien *** Note: The rest of the article was cut off and was not available at the time of transcription.
