Surnames: WHITTLINGER BLANK Source: THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 09/28/1916 Whittlinger, Josephine (Marriage - 20 SEP 1916) A very quiet wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Whittlinger on West A St. Wednesday, Sept. 20, 1916, at 3 p.m., when their daughter Josephine became the wife of Marlyn Black of Polley, Wis., Rev. H. Ambrose officiating. The bride who was very becomingly dressed, wore a beautiful blue traveling suit and was attended by a sister of the groom, Miss Almeda Blank, while Charles Whittlinger, bother of the bride, acted as best man. After the impressive ceremony the young people left on an evening train for a visit at St. Paul and other points of interest in the northwest. After their return they will go to housekeeping at Polley. The bride is a most lovable young lady, of refined tastes and manners. For several years she has been employed as a teacher at Polley, at which place she met the man of her choice. He is a young man of excellent habits, and a rising young businessman, being employed as superintendent of the mill at Polley. Those who attended the wedding from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Blank, parents of the groom and the Misses Almeda and Truyia Bland and Master Eylward Blank, sisters and brother of the groom, of Thorp, Clark County, Wis.
