(Marriage - 2 JUN 1920) On Wednesday, June 2, 1920 at 9:30 a.m., the marriage of Miss Rose Theresa Jacques, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jacques, and Mr. George M. Kolbach, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kolbach of Port Washington, took place at St. Bernard's Church in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.). The bride was attended by the groom's sister, Miss Lucy Kolbach and Joseph Jacques served as best man. The Misses Ella and Esther Jacques served as flower girls. The bride wore a white pussy willow satin dress trimmed with silver lace and wore a cap effect veil with lilies of the valley and the wreath set off with maiden hair fern. The groom wore dark blue serge. The maid of honor wore a light blue silk dress, the flower girls were dressed in blue and white. The bride carried a large bouquet of full blown roses and streamers with lilies of the valley. After the ceremony the young couple returned to the bride's home where a reception was held. The bride's table was adorned with white and blue ribbon fastened to the corners and extending to the ceiling tastily trimmed with sweet peas and lilies of the valley. Among the out of town guests present were Miss Lacy Kolbach and Mr. and Mrs. John Jacques and family of Port Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Gengler and children of Rice Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Gengler and Mrs. Augusta Lamar and daughter of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Brown of Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buss and Ernest Buss of Withee, Miss Caroline Erlei and Father John Neises and nearby neighbors. The afternoon and evening were spent in social intercourse and dancing to the music of Becker's Orchestra, over 200 persons attending the festivities. The bride was the recipient of many handsome presents and all present enjoyed the occasion. Refreshments were served during the day and evening. The newlyweds will leave the latter part of the week for Port Washington where they will reside.
