Surnames: FARMER HAGEN Source: THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 11/11/1920 Farmer, Helen (Marriage - 27 OCT 1920) A very pleasant wedding took place at the Yellow River Sheep Ranch on Oct. 27, 1920. Mr. Anton Hagen of Stanley, Wis. and Miss Helen Farmer of the Sheep Ranch were the contracting parties. Mr. Hagen is well known around Stanley and Thorp, Clark County, Wis. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. N. Farmer, managers of the Yellow River Sheep Ranch. Rev. George E. Griffiths of Stanley Presbyterian Church read the ceremony. The bride wore a sky blue taffeta silk dress trimmed with white chiffon and bridal wreath and veil and carried a bouquet of ferns and lilies. The groom wore a blue serge suit. Their attendants were Miss Tina Moen and Arthur Withrow. The bridesmaid wore a purple satin dress with georgette sleeves. A delicious dinner was served to 54 invited guests. The guests from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. James Cooper, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Allbaugh from Bloom City, Mr. and Mrs. Will Asbom and daughter, Miss Doris Stowell, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Engstom and daughter from Sheldon, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Henderson and children from Ruby. Mr. Hagen gave a ball in the evening and a lunch was served at 12 o'clock, which was attended by about one hundred and fifty people. Mr. and Mrs. Hagen will spend a few weeks with the bride's parents and later will move to Browning Corners for this winter and in the spring will move to his farm south of Stanley. The best wishes of many friends attend them on this new relationship.
