Surnames: Stecker, McCarthy Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 03/14/1946 Stecker, Sylvester & Edith (Divorce – 12 Mar. 1946) Sylvester Stecker was granted an absolute divorce from Edith Stecker on grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment and desertion in circuit court at Neillsville Tuesday by Circuit Judge Joseph McCarthy of Appleton. Mr. Stecker is a resident of this community and Edith Stecker resides at Fountain, Minn. They were married at Decorah, Iowa, on Sept. 14th, 1940. Mrs. Stecker was awarded custody of a minor child.
