Marilyn was born on September 11, 1940 in Thorp, WI, the daughter of Walter and Pearl (Nichols) Liazuk. She grew up in the Gilman/Thorp area, graduating from Stanley High School in 1958.

On April 18, 1959, Marilyn married Alois “Olie” Joseph Olichwier at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Thorp, WI. Marilyn worked for Anchor Brush in Illinois, and retired from Allen Bradley in Ladysmith, WI in 2006.

Marilyn loved planting and tending to her flowers, pontoon rides on Lake Holcombe with family and friends, attending her grandchildren’s concerts/games/plays, her girls’ day out with her best friend, Loraine Faschingbauer, and her daughters, making floral crafts, and visiting family and friends with her husband (whom she always called her partner in life).

Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband, Olie, of 48 years; four children: Lucinda Olichwier of Shakopee, MN, Derek (Ardith) Olichwier of Strum, Audra (Randy) Knowlton of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Bryan Olichwier (fiancée Carol Russell) of Ladysmith, WI; and five grandsons who were the light of her life: Jesse Olichwier, Tharon Knowlton, Justin Knowlton, Kyle Olichwier and Owen Olichwier, and Dustin Scholtz; three sisters: Darlene (Dale) Tieman of Wausaukee, WI, Wanda Tramm of Staples, MN, and Dae (Dick) Jacobson of Stanley, WI; three brothers: Dean Liazuk of Eau Claire, WI, Duane (Barb) Liazuk of North Prairie, WI, and Dale (Sue) Liazuk of Oconomowoc, WI; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Liazuk; her mother-in-law, Bernice (Slowiak) Olichwier; and two brothers-in-law; Richard Olichwier and Gerald Olichwier.
