Habeck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar L. Habeck of Colby, claimed as his bride, Miss Margie Nell Richter, of Cloquet, Minn., formerly of San Marcos, Texas, daughter of Mrs. Roy E. Golden of Cloquet, Minn., in a double ring ceremony performed Dec. 15th, at 1 p.m. in the Zion Ev. Lutheran church at Colby by the Rev. O. Hoffmann. Mrs. Priem played the wedding march and sang, “O Perfect Love.” For the wedding, the bride chose a frock of pale pink wool jersey with gold trimming complimented by brown accessories and a corsage of pink carnations. Mrs. Harold A. Habeck, sister in law of the groom, served as matron of honor, appeared in a turquoise wool jersey frock with black accessories and a corsage of variegated carnations. The bridegroom’s brother, Harold A. Habeck of Madison, was the best man. For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Golden wore an aqua dress with black accessories while Mrs. Habeck wore black. Following the ceremony, a reception and dinner for 30 guests was held at the home of the groom’s parents. White streamers interspread by a wedding bell canopied the ceiling and a large wedding cake centered the table. When the couple left for a trip to northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, the bride wore a black princess style velveteen dress with a smoke grey hat and coat and black accessories. She is a graduate of Southwest Texas State Teacher’s College, San Marcos, Texas. During college she was a member of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and colleges. Before her marriage, Mrs. Habeck was employed at the Fosberg Paper Box Company, Madison. Mr. Habeck, a former officer in the army air forces, recently returned from the Philippines and Japan after three years service. He served as a pilot. The couple will make their home in Unity, Wis. Out of town guests were Mrs. Roy E. Golden and daughter, Carol Ann, of Cloquet, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Habeck and family of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Justman and son, Allan of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Harold A. Habeck and family of Madison.
