(Marriage – 11 Sept. 1947) Ferns and baskets of white and pink gladioli decorated the Zoar Ev. Lutheran church of Milwaukee for the wedding of Miss Bernice A. Kobs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred J. Kobs of Colby, and Walter Rosselet of Milwaukee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rosselet, Sr., of Milwaukee. Rev. M. Hoffman performed the ceremony at 7:00 P.M. on September 11. Two solos were sung, “The Lord’s Prayer” and “Oh, Perfect Love” by L. D. Shark of Concordia College. Mrs. O. Schwann was organist. The bride’s gown was made of white brocaded satin with a train. A pearled tiara held her fingertip veil which was all hand made. She carried a bouquet of white roses and white mums. She was given in marriage by her father. Mrs. DeLos Kobs as maid of honor wore a fuchsia taffeta dress. Her bouquet consisted of roses to match her dress and mums. Miss Rose Marie Gierl was bridesmaid and wore a light blue taffeta dress with matching bouquet of roses and mums. The groom was attended by Earl Strong as best man and DeLos Kobs. The bride’s mother wore a dark green suit with black accessories and the groom’s mother wore a dark dress. Both had corsages of roses and mums. About 100 guests were entertained at a reception at Smith’s Park Hall. The bride is employed at Briggs and Shulton, Milwaukee, and the groom is employed at Hahn’s Clothing store, Milwaukee, where they will make their future home. The following attended the wedding: Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Kobs, Mr. and Mrs. DeLos Kobs and daughter, Connie, Miss Olga Voge, Miss Martha Kleohn and Wm. Singstock.
