Darlene Louise Mast, 67, W1345 Starks Road, Unity, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at her home.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at the Owen Mennonite Church. Visitations are from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the church.

Maurina Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Darlene L. Mast

UNITY -- Darlene Louise Mast, 67, of Unity died peacefully Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, in her home surrounded by family.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, in Owen Mennonite Church, Highway N, Owen. Burial will be at Owen Mennonite Church Cemetery. Those officiating will be Harold Good, Edward Kerr, Harlan Martin and Daniel Boll.

Pallbearers will be Dervin Druist, Daniel Otto, Christipher Nievwienski, Matthew Burkholder, Titus Peifer, Justus Christophel, Joseph Mast and Benjamin Mast.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Owen Mennonite Church. Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Darlene was born June 9, 1940, in Elida, Ohio, to Ralph and Esther (Good) Diller. She then married Eli Mast, Unity. Darlene was a homemaker and secretary for her husband who is an electrician.

She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, needlework and gardening to provide for her family and friends.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Eli L. Mast; children, Samuel and Cathy Mast of Benton, Ohio, Daniel and Beth Mast of Shippensburg, Pa., Dervin and Rachael Druist of Dry Run, Pa., Daniel and Jewel Otto of Mechanicstown, Ohio, Saloma Mast of Unity, Christopher and Susanna Nierwinski of Seven Valleys, Pa., Joseph and Esther Mast of Abbotsford, Benjamin and Esther Mast of Versailles, Mo., Matthew and Keturah Burkholder of Auburn, N.Y., Titus and Mary Peifer of Owen, Justus and Ruth Christophel of New Oxford, Pa.; 18 grandsons and 21 granddaughters.

Also surviving are three sisters, Carolyn (Jacob) Hofer of Raymond, Alberta, Canada, Sharon (Kieth) Scearce of Loyal, and Cleora (Eugene) Campbell of Flat Gap, Ky.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson, Anthony Christophel.
