- Schreiber, Dorothy B. (28 JUN 1941)

In a candlelight ceremony witnessed only by members of the immediate family and a few close friends, Miss Dorothy B. Schreiber was united in marriage with Einar T. Hansen by Rev. Morris Wee at 5:30 Saturday afternoon, June 28th, 1941, in the chapel of the new Bethel Lutheran Church at Madison, Wis.

For her marriage the bride wore a powder blue crepe fitted redingote with a collar of Irish crocheted lace and a white silk jersey halo hat with a small veil. Her shoulder corsage was of pink roses, blue delphinium, and white sweet peas.

Her only attendant was her cousin, Miss Bern Schreiber of Madison, who wore a yellow ensemble of old fashioned honeycomb with a short jacket, and a white straw hat with a yellow band. Her shoulder corsage was of yellow roses and blue delphinium.

Mr. Hansen chose his brother, Harold A. Hansen of Milwaukee, as his best man.

Immediate following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the Capitol Hotel, after which the couple left for a two weeks’ wedding trip to the Black Hills.

The bride is a graduate of Madison East High School, attended the University of Wisconsin, and is employed by the Psychiatric Field Service of the State Department of Public Welfare.

The groom received his professional degree of Mechanical Engineer in 1938, and is on the faculty of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi and Pi Tau Sigma, both honorary engineering fraternities, faculty advisor to the student branch of the University of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and faculty advisor to the all-engineering Polygon Society.

Mr. and Mrs. Hansen will be at home at 2071 Atwood Avenue, Madison, Wis., after July 15.

The groom is a former resident of the city and has many relatives and friends in and around Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.).
