Thursday, 08/05/1954 Heimes, Casper (19 Oct. 1869 – 2 Aug. 1954) Funeral services for Casper Heimes, who died at 11:30 A.M. Monday at the Marathon county hospital at Wausau at the age of 84, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby, Rev. Ambrose Bandow of Neenah officiating, and burial was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were Edgar Leonard, Art Schmidt, Robert Kilty, Victor Dallmann, Emil Johnson and A. Kalepp. Mr. Heimes was born on October 19, 1869, in Calumet, Mich., and came to the town of Colby with his parents at the age of seven years. He was engaged in the logging and lumber business most of his life. On September 5, 1903 he was married in Colby to Anna Badtke who died in February, 1929. He had been a patient in the county hospital the past several years. Two children died as infants. One brother and four sisters also preceded him in death.
