Surnames: LaMarche, Haas Source: THORP COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 09/04/1941 - LaMarche, Bernice (25 AUG 1941) Milburn Haas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Haas of Stanley, and Bernice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry LaMarche of Stanley, were united in marriage by Rev. Paul Pitzenberger at St. Ann’s Church, Stanley, on Monday morning, Aug. 15th, 1941. The bride was attired in a beautiful white satin gown, fashioned in princess style, with a sweetheart neckline and long sleeves, pointed at the writes. She wore a fingertip veil edged with lace and arranged in coronet style which was studded with seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of Madonna lilies gypsophila and swansonia. She was attended by Marion Haas, a sister of the groom, who wore a gown of pink taffeta, fashioned with a tight bodice and full skirt and a jacket to match. She carried a bouquet of peach colored sweet peas, delphinium and gladiola florets. The groom was attended by Vernon LaMarche, brother of the bride. The men wore dark suits with white carnation boutonnieres. The bride’s mother wore a gown of duty pink crepe and the groom’s mother wore blue and white taffeta. They each wore a corsage of Rubrum lilies and swansonia. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a dance held at Mileaway Pavilion in the evening. The groom is employed at the Blue Moon Foods, Inc., here. They will reside in Stanley. |
