Surnames: Forbish, Pevytoe, Schall, Cleworth, Bauer, Viegut, Grimm, Welk, Werner, Aderhold Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 08/25/1955 Forbish, Joyce Marie (Marriage – 20 Aug. 1955) Miss Joyce Marie Forbish, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Forbish of Colby, and William Pevytoe, son of Mrs. Louis Werner of Edgar, exchanged marriage vows in the Methodist church in Colby Saturday afternoon, August 20, at 3:30, Rev. Harvey Schall reading the marriage ceremony. Robert Cleworth sang “Wedding Prayer” and “The Lord’s Prayer” accompanied by Miss Rena Bauer on the piano. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The church was decorated with gladiolus and other garden flowers. Lucille Viegut of Wausau, friend of the bride, was maid of honor and Shirley Grimm of Stratford, another friend, and Mrs. Raymond Welk of Stratford, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids. The groom was attended by Richard Viegut of Edgar, a friend, as best man, and Thomas Forbish and Raymond Forbish, brothers of the bride. Ushers were Eugene Forbish of Des Moines, Iowa, brother of the bride, Neal Werner of Edgar, brother of the groom, and Richard Aderhold, cousin of the bride. The bride was attired in a floor-length gown of frosted nylon over taffeta. The V-shaped neckline was trimmed with a pearl ornament which was worn by her maternal grand mother and mother when they were married. Her bridal veil was of illusion and nylon net. Her Juliet headpiece was trimmed with seed pearls. Her cascade bouquet consisted of yellow chrysanthemums. All of her attendants wore similar gowns of white nylon dotted swiss over taffeta with a halo of yellow, lavender and white chrysanthemums. Their white satin fan bouquets with yellow, white and green ivy trim consisted of lavender chrysanthemums. The mother of the bride wore a navy blue dress with navy and white accessories and the mother of the groom wore a gray dress with pink accessories, Both wore corsages of pink carnations and yellow and white mums. A reception was held and supper was served at the Colby Methodist church parlors. After a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin, the couple will be at home after August 28 at 429 North Mountain Road, Wausau. The groom is employed by Connor & Co., Wausau. Guests were from Stratford, Edgar, Wausau, Loyal, Milwaukee, Abbotsford and Des Moines, Iowa.
