Coates, Eldron (1870? – 31 Oct. 1955)

Eldron Coates of Tomahawk, a former resident of Colby, passed away at a Tomahawk hospital at the age of 85 years Monday. Funeral services were held at Tomahawk Wednesday afternoon.

Mr. Coates was born in Canada. In 1887, he came to Wisconsin and settled in Colby with his family, living in what was then the Kautscky home, now the Clarence Neck residence.

Surviving are his wife; one son, John Coates of Colby; and two daughters, Mrs. Clara Clark and Mrs. Marten (Myrtle) Theiler, both of Tomahawk.
