The sale of the Bogumill Funeral Home of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) to Raymond Izydorek and Leslie E. Hanson was announced by Mr. and Mrs. John G. Bogumill, its owners, on Tuesday. The change of ownership is now in effect.

Mr. and Mrs. Bogumill, after twenty-nine years of service in this community in the art of embalming a funeral directing, have retired, and in so doing leave it in the hands of a man to whom they taught the business and was in their employ fro ten years. Mr. Izydorek has been in business for himself the past three years under the firm name of Izydorek Furniture & Undertaking. His partner, L.E. Hanson, band instructor in the local schools, has also had some experience in the undertaking business precious to his coming to Thorp six years ago and during summer vacations. He expects to continue with his work at the school the coming year. Mr. Izydorek will also operate his furniture store in conjunction with his work as mortician and funeral director.

The Bogumill’s built the funeral home in 1935. It is a modern structure and well equipped. No pains were spared in making it one of the best, if not the best, for the purpose in this part of the state. Their years of experience “from the ground up” in undertaking provided them with the knowledge necessary to equip the home properly.

The new owners will not be handicapped by obsolete equipment or working quarters but have a high standard of service to uphold. We have confidence in their ability and past record of business experience and feel sure that our views are shared by the community at large.
