Pietrasiewicz, John (1883? – 30 OCT 1942)

John Pietrasiewicz (Pietrie), 59, formerly of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away suddenly of a heart attack while riding in an automobile at Green Bay about 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, 1942. He was the husband of Petronella Herman of Thorp.

He is survived by two sons, Frank and George Pietrie, one brother, Joe Pietrie, and nine grandchildren, all of Chicago, two sisters, Mrs. Geo. Lewin and Mrs. Henry Gilson of Green Bay, and Alex Pietrasiewicz of Thorp.

The body lay in state at the Coad’s Funeral Home in Green Bay until its removal to Chicago on Sunday, where the funeral was held at the Maternity B.V.M. Church at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3rd. Interment was made in St. Adelbert’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Stanley Herman, Frank Herman, Nick Balcer, Stanley Olejnik, Charley Kopacz and Wm. Sawiek.
