Edwards, Dorthaleen (Marriage – 31 Aug. 1949)

Miss Dorthaleen Edwards, daughter of Mrs. Lulu Edwards of Colby, and Harold E. Hardrath, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hardrath of Unity, were united in marriage at 4:00 o’clock Wednesday, August 31, at the First Evangelical and Reformed church in Colby, Rev. Franz Paul Puhlmann reading the marriage ceremony. The couple was attended by Miss Dolly Krarup, a friend, of Owen, and Halbert Hardrath, a brother of the groom.

The bride was attired in a gown of white marquisette over satin, full skirt ending in a lace-edge train. Her bouquet consisted of red and white roses and gladiolas. Miss Krarup wore an orchid marquisette dress similar to that of the bride and her bouquet consisted of white and yellow roses and gladiolas.

A reception was given at the home of the bride’s mother, and, after a short wedding trip in Northern Wisconsin, the couple will be at home on the groom’s farm west of Unity.
