St. Bernard’s Catholic church at Abbotsford was the scene of a pretty wedding at 9 o’clock Saturday morning, November 26, 1932, when Miss Clara Chris, daughter of Mrs. Frank Chris, became the bride of Mr. Adolph Kleinstick of the town of Holton. The double-ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father J. B. Gaffney.

The bride who was given in marriage by her brother, Ben Chris of Gary, Ind., wore a dark brown crepe dress with accessories to match, and carried Johanna Hill roses and white swansonias.

Miss Lucyanne Chris, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and Miss Kathryn Carpenter attended as bridesmaid. Both wore brown crepe frocks, with harmonizing accessories and wore corsage bouquets of roses, snapdragons and pompoms.

Bernard Enman attended as best man and the groomsman was Clarence Trevalle. Louis Dorin and Clarence Chris ushered.

A reception was held during the day at the home of the bride’s mother, to eighty-two guests. Among those present from out-of-town were Ben Chris, Louis Dorin and Mrs. Claude Hammel and daughter Claudette of Gary, Indiana, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Springer and daughter Dorothy of Edgar, Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Brick and Evan Johnson of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. John Matrofsky of Fenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Toelle and family of Stetsonville, Ben Zemich, Rosalind Peterson and Ernest Plautz of Wausau, Charles Metzke and Roman Spaeth of Stratford and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kleinstick of Unity.
