Hedwig Alma “Hedy” (nee Linder) Krueger entered into heavens gates Friday, February 29, 2008, at Kathy Hospice in West Bend at the dear age of 94.

Hedy was born into the loving arms of Robert and Anna (nee Abley) Linder July 5, 1913, in Humbird.

Hedy was raised in Humbird; during the early 1940s, she moved into West Bend. Here she had a career working at the West Bend Company for many years on the assembly line and was a faithful member of the United Church of Christ. Of all the things that Hedy loved to do, she most loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grand-children.

Hedy is survived by her loving daughter, Corinne (Ross) Smith Mohler of LA; seven adoring grandchildren, Scott Hughes of Phelps, Margie (Tom) Braun of Waupaca, Connie (Jim) Gaedtke of West Bend, Penny (Tim) McGrath of Whitefish Bay, Tracy (fiancé George Piontek) Peplinski of Richfield, Jennifer Armand of LA and Michael (Paula) Mohler of LA. Hedy will also be missed by 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, her sister, Alvina Linder of Alma Center; and son-in-law, Archie Hughes of Waupaca. Hedy will be further missed by nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

Hedy is preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Ed Linder, Lucille Van Gorden, Clarence, Bob, John Frieda, Elsie, Royce and Art; as well as her daughter, Gloria Hughes, and great-grandchild, Caleb Hughes.

A service in honor of Hedy took place Sunday, March 2, 2008, at 3 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home (1420 W. Paradise Dr., West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastor Oscar Kraft officiating. Friends and family visited from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. Sunday March 2, 2008. A private burial will follow at a later date. Cremation: Paradise Cremation Services.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to compassionate and caring staff at Kathy Hospice for its tender care.
