Edblom, Eileen Beverly (Marriage – 7 Apr. 1951)

Miss Eileen Beverly Edblom, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Edblom of Unity, and Lester Lorraine Safemaster, also of Unity, were united in marriage in Trinity Lutheran church Saturday afternoon, the Rev. Charles Witt reading the marriage ceremony. The couple was attended by Miss Betty Brill of Colby and Arthur Edblom, Jr., brother of the bride. Ushers were Alvin Edblom, another brother of the bride, and Orville Westberg.

The bride was attired in a navy blue suit with white accessories and a corsage of gardenias was pinned at her shoulder. The maid of honor wore a red suit with white accessories accented with a corsage of gardenias.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Edblom of Colby which was followed by a supper served to 75 guests.

When the couple return from a trip to Southern Illinois and Iowa, they will reside in Unity where the groom is in the trucking business.
