Joyce Erdman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Erdman, and Harold Degenhardt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Degenhardt, exchanged marriage vows in St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran church, Green Grove, Saturday afternoon, Sept. 15, Rev. Paul T. Dietz reading the marriage ceremony.

The bride chose for her wedding a white satin gown with long sleeves, buttons down the back, net yoke and full train. Her fingertip veil was held in place by an orange blossom headdress. She borrowed a five-strand string of pearls from a friend. Her bouquet consisted of garden flowers.

The maid of honor, Pearl Erdman, sister of the bride, wore a shrimp colored satin gown with net yoke and satin sweetheart bonnet to match. The three bridesmaids, Delores Pozanski, a friend of the bride, Lucille Augustine, a friend of the bride, and Arlene Erdman, cousin of the bride, were attired in satin formals with net yokes in green, orchid and gold, respectively, with satin sweetheart bonnets to match. All four wore a two-strand pearl necklace, gifts of the bride, and their bouquets consisted of garden flowers. The flower girls, Myrtle Augustine and Sharon Glenzer, dressed in gowns of white satin, wore lockets, gifts of the bride.

The groom was attended by Eugene Glenzer, uncle of the bride, as best man, Gaylord Fakes, cousin of the bride, Norman Augustine, a friend of the groom, and Galen Erdman, brother of the bride.

A reception was held in the Curtiss community hall at 4:00 P.M. The hall was decorated in crepe paper in colors of the bridesmaid’s dresses and white bells.

The couple will reside north of Curtiss. The groom is employed at the Clover Hill Cheese Factory.

Out of town guests were from Hillsboro, Milwaukee, Marshfield, Loyal, Greenwood, Curtiss, Colby, Owen, Milan, Holcombe, Whittlesey, Goodrich, Wausau and Withee.
