Surnames: Doege, Gorsegner, Siemek, Huberty, Buss, Warner, Grunseth, Erl,Burton, Source: Thorp Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 12/12/1974 Doege, Louise Johanna (Gorsegner) (14 AUGUST 1895 – 04 DECEMBER 1974) Louise Doege Louise Johanna Doege, 79, passed away Wednesday, December 4th at the Thorp Care Center. Funeral services were held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Thorp on Sunday December 8th 1974 with Rev. Robert Olson officiating at the 1:30 p.m. service. Interment was made in the Riverside cemetery, Withee. Pallbearers were: Edward Bucheger, Greenwood, Ray Nevaia, Withee, Donald Horn, Vaino Talso, and John Wagener all of Greenwood and Gus Gollhardt, Thorp. Louise Gorsegner was born August 14, 1895 at Thorp. On March 16, 1920 she was united in marriage to Herman A. Doege at Thorp, Wisconsin. She lived in the Reseburg township for 38 years, 15 years at rural Greenwood and in October of 1973 they moved to the city of Thorp. Surviving are her husband Herman A. Doege; three sons Herman Doege Jr., Scott City, Missouri, Arthur Doege, Stanley, Robert Doege, Watkins, Minn.; two daughters (Charlotte) Mrs. Max Siemek, Gilman, (Grace) Mrs. Charles Huberty, Cookeville, Tenn.; two brothers Emil Gorsegner, Ferndale, Wash., Carl Gorsegner, Greenwood; two sisters Edith Buss, Thorp and Rose Warner, Tombstone, Arizona; six grandsons, Leslie, Arizona; Myron, Lindy and Max Siemek, Bryant Doege, Charles Huberty; five granddaughters Eileen Grunseth, Sharon Erl, Debora Burton, Brenda Doege and Christine Huberty; one great-grandson Hubert Burton and three great-grandaughters Rebecca Grunseth, Theresa and Sherry Erl. Transcribers Note: Louise Johanna Gorsegner was the 6th child of twelve children to be born in the family of Christian Gottlieb and Mary (Teuke) Gorsegner.
