Fecker, Adeline (16 Mar. 1876 – 3 Oct. 1951)

Mrs. George Fecker died Wednesday morning at a hospital in New London at the age of 75 years. Mrs. Fecker went to New London about 10 days ago to visit a daughter but became ill while there and was taken to the hospital. A rosary will be said Friday evening at the Clarence Fecker home and funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating.

Funeral services for Mrs. George Fecker, whose maiden name was Adeline Schaller, were held at St. Mary’s church in Colby Saturday morning, Rev. N. B. Beschta officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were Norman Guetschow, Jack Frinak of Colby, Andrew and Louis Handl of Manitowoc, and Lester Guetschow of Stevens Point, all nephews of the deceased.

Mrs. Fecker was born in School Hill, Wis., on Mar. 16, 1876, thus reaching the age of 75 years, six months and 17 days. She married George Fecker at School Hill on July 6, 1898, and moved onto a farm in the town of Hull in 1911. Mr. Fecker died March 24, 1950. Mrs. Fecker died of a heart condition in New London, as chronicled last week, after an illness of ten days.

Surviving are five children, John of Abbotsford, Mrs. Ervin (Leone) Schimke of New London, Ervin of Winneconne and Harry and Clarence of the town of Hull; two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Fecker of Milwaukee and Mrs. Frank Guetschow of Colby.

Out of town people here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Fecker and son, Larry, of Winneconne, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Schimke, Keith, Darlene and Cordell of New London, Mr. and Mrs. John Fecker and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Mueller of Abbotsford, Andrew Kauffman, Andrew Handl, Louis Handl and Walter Handl of Manitowoc, Mr. and Mrs. George Kass, Peter and Sylvia and Mrs. Wm. Fecker of Milwaukee, Lester Guetschow of Stevens Point, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Heise of South Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hein and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Cole of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Wyman Schimke and Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Schimke of New London, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jensen and Clarence Voss of Manawa, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Voss of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Diethman of Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Diethman of Unity.

Mrs. Fecker will be long remembered by her friends and relatives as a good Christian, honest in all her dealings and of a friendly and pleasing disposition which endeared her to all who knew her.
