Obit: Prebil, Mary (1880 – 1941)
Surnames: Prebil, Skerjanc, Milkolich The Loyal Tribune 02 October 1941 Prebil, Mary (1 MAR 1880 – 24 SEP 1941) Funeral services were held at 10 A. M. Saturday for Mrs. Frank Prebil, Sr. (nee Mary Skerjanc) in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, Rev. Rafael Stragisher officiating. Mrs. Prebil passed away last Wednesday foreman at half past eleven o’clock following long illness. Heart trouble was given as being the cause of her death. The deceased was born March 1, 1880, in Pava Gorcia, Jugoslavija. August 24, 1904, she was wedded to Frank Prebil at Ely, Minnesota where they lived until 1918. Moving to Willard from Ely, the Prebil family has lived there the past 23 years. Death took the departed from the family home at Willard. Surviving are the husband, a son Frank Jr., Willard, three daughters, Mary, Beaver Dam, Pauline, Watertown, and Florence, Chicago, Illinois, and another son, Anthony, Willard. Also surviving is a brother John, Ely, Minnesota. Six grandchildren are also left to mourn their loss. A sister of the deceased, Mrs. Frances Milkolich, preceded her in death nine years ago. Pallbearers were Joseph Perme, Sr., Anton Merkum, Frank Lesar, Sr., Frank Francel, Sr., Joseph Perko, Sr., and John Lesar. The floral offerings which were many were taken care of by the Ladies Altar Society. The church choir furnished the music. Interment was made in the parish cemetery. Mrs. Prebil was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church, the Ladies’ Altar Society, and St. Cyrilus & Metodus J. S. K. J. Relatives and friends from away who attended the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. John Skerjanc, Mrs. Mautz, and Mrs. Roy Winken Wardar, Mrs. Wm. Zimmerman, and Mrs. Evans. |
