Surnames: Merritt Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wisconsin) Thursday, 09/22/1904 Merritt, Jane R. (? – 16 Sept. 1904) Henry Merritt received a telegram from Appleton, Saturday, bringing the sad intelligence that his sister-in-law, Mrs. Eben Merritt, had died on Friday. The funeral and burial took place at Mount Morris, her childhood home. Jennie, as she was familiarly called, formerly lived here and has many friends who are grieved to hear of her death. *** Note: Her first name is from Wisconsin Deaths, 1820-1907.
