Mabbott, Ora Mrs. (90th Birthday – 16 Nov. 1954)

Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Mabbott and Mr. Frank Proft and sons drove to Oshkosh Sunday to visit Mrs. Ora Mabbott at the home of Mrs. O. W. Stinson. Mrs. Mabbott will be 90 years old November 16th.

A letter from Mrs. Orra Mabbott of Oshkosh, expressing her gratitude and appreciation for the 130 cards which she received on her 90th birthday, many of which contained a pretty hanky, has been received.

There were many other gifts among which were five large bouquets of chrysanthemums, one from her grandsons in Oregon. She enclosed a clipping from the “Social Sidelines” taken from the Oshkosh paper, “Oshkosh Northwestern” which she asked might be used in the Unity News of the local paper as follows:

“Mrs. Orra Mabbott, who has lived with her daughter, Mrs. O. L. Stinson of 242 Scott St., in Oshkosh for several years, was 90 years old November 19th. Neighbors and friends who called all thru the week to wish her well and Thursday her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Burnett Mabbott of Unity, Wis., came to Oshkosh to take her and Mrs. Stinson to dinner to celebrate her birthday. Mrs. Mabbott received many gifts and 130 cards.
