Lowe, Kathryn J. (Marriage – 4 June 1930)

Miss Kathryn J. Lowe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Lowe of Abbotsford, and Victor Christensen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Christensen of Marshfield, were united in marriage at the home of the bride Wednesday, June 4, 1930, at 11:30 a.m., Rev. M. C. Durnam of the First Presbyterian church performing the ceremony. They were attended by Mrs. Howard Cendt, sister of the bride and Wm. Christensen.

The bride was dressed in yellow georgette and Spanish lace and wore a corsage bouquet of pink tea roses and lilies of the valley. Mrs. Cendt wore blue georgette and a corsage bouquet of pink and white carnations and sweet peas.

The groom and best man were dressed in blue.

The home was decorated in yellow and white paper, ferns and flowers.

The prelude, “At Dawning,” wedding march by Wagner and song, “I Love You Truly” preceded the ceremony and played by Florence Fulmer of Athens.

Mr. and Mrs. Christensen are on a wedding trip in the southern and western part of Wisconsin and also in Minnesota and will be “at home” to their many friends after July 1st.

About 35 guests were present at the wedding ceremony, among whom were the following from away:

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Christensen Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. P. N. Christensen and son of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Bates and Mr. and Mrs. Earl F. Janes of Hixton, Mrs. Earle Fulmer and daughter of Athens, Mr. and Mrs. J. Schreiner and sons of Curtiss, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Christensen and two children of Wisconsin Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Ward Lowe and daughter of Blair and Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Lowe and son of Milwaukee.
