Obit: Jackson, Louis (1836 – 1930)
Surnames: Jackson, Grode, Herrick, Seine, Jones Source: Abbotsford Tribune (Abbotsford, Clark County, Wis.) 02/06/1930 Jackson, Louis (15 Nov. 1836 – 4 Feb. 1930) Louis Jackson was born in Denmark on November 15, 1836, and came to this country in 1873. Living at DePere for four years, then moving to Neenah, where he spent the remaining 53 years of his life. Mr. Jackson passed away at the Theda Clark hospital in Neenah early Tuesday morning, Feb. 4th, 1930. He had been a patient at the hospital the past three years, but his condition did not become critical until about a week previous to his death, a severe heart attack hastening the end. The survivors are the widow and ten children. The latter are Henry of Neenah, Will of New York City, Walter of Abbotsford, George of Appleton, John of Neenah, Harry of Milwaukee, Arthur of Neenah, Mrs. Philip Grode of Neenah, Mrs. Charles Herrick and Mrs. Albert Seine, both of Milwaukee. Mr. Jackson was a member of the Danish Brotherhood of Neenah and of the Presbyterian church. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the home on East Columbian avenue and at 2 o’clock from the First Presbyterian church, Rev. D. C. Jones officiating. Burial was made in the Oak Hill cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Jackson of Abbotsford have been in Neenah the past week, being called there last Saturday by the failing health of Mr. Jackson’s father above mentioned.
