Huber, Edward A. (1895 – 1986)

SPENCER – Edward A. Huber, 91, of 506 W. Main St., Spencer, died at 9:20 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been admitted the same day.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer with the Rev. William Ruhbusch officiating. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer.

He was born Feb. 7, 1895 in Spencer. His marriage to Adela Hoops was July 6, 1924, at Spencer.

He operated a cheese factory in the Town of Unity until 1945, then moved to Spencer where he worked for Dairy Belt. He was a charter member of Former Lee F. Pickett American Legion Post, Spencer, and was a member of Colby VFW Post 2227. He also was a World War I veteran and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, David of Marshfield and Elroy of Spencer; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur and Theodore Huber, both of Spencer; four sisters, Mrs. Martin (Frieda) Hoops of Colby, Mrs. Orville (Ada) Taylor of Owen, Mrs. Raymond (Ella) Matter and Mrs. Eldor (Vera) Mellenthin, both of Spencer.

He was predeceased by one brother, one sister and his parents, Wenzel and Amelia (Stelzl) Huber.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
