Adjudged Insane

Edward Schreiber, aged 23 years, son of Mrs. Minnie Schreiber of the town of Colby, who recently returned home from the U.S. Navy, having served his Uncle Sam three years and four months, showed signs of a derangement of mind and upon application Judge Schoengarth of Neillsville, appointed Drs. H. H. Christofferson and D. R. Freeman of this city, to examine him as to his sanity. They found him insane, last Friday, and the same night he was taken to Neillsville by Sheriff Wm. Bradford and Deputy Sheriff Wm. Will, and they had their hands full. He is now receiving treatment at the Mendota hospital. The young man fell, striking on his head, while working in the navy, which is supposed to be the cause of his present trouble.
