Mattie Amelia Galstad Buried at Chaseburg

Mattie Amelia Galstad was born April 9, 1865, at Chaseburg, Wis. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lower Coon Valley church.

In 1891 she was married to John A. Geary who died in 1918. She leaves to mourn her six children; Maurice of La Crosse, Clarence of Curtiss, Willard of Chaseburg, Mrs. B. Veglahn of La Crosse and Mrs. A. M. Erickson of Curtiss, also five sisters and on brother and fifteen grandchildren.

She lived on a farm near Chaseburg 24 years, later moving to Curtiss where she lived for about 10 years. Fro the past three years she has been in poor health and passed away a the home of her daughter Mr. Oluf Engh, Aug. 16, 1928, at the age of 63 years, 4 months and 7 days. She was buried at Chaseburg, Wisconsin, August 18th.
