Kodl, Helen (21 OCT 1944)

Mr. Frank Jasinek Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jasinek Sr., and Miss Helen Kodl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kodl, both of the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage at a nuptial Mass at St. Hedwig’s Church on Saturday, Oct. 21, 1944. The ceremony was performed by Father Piekarski at 10:00 a.m.

The couple was attended by Joe Harabuda Jr., as best man and Lucille Sierocuk, bridesmaid.

The bride was beautifully attired in a white satin gown with lace insertions and long train trimmed with lace. She wore a sweetheart hat with full tulle veil. Her bouquet was of white roses, gardenias, baby mums with white baby mums cascading down the streamers. Her bridesmaid was dressed in blue net over taffeta with matching head band and blusher. The matron of honor, Mrs. Albert Kodl, Jr., was attired in pink chiffon with pink headband and matching blusher. Both mothers of the bride and groom wore blue crepe dresses with black accessories and corsages of gardenias and pink roses tied with white ribbons.

In the solemn part of the ceremony the bride, attended by the matron of honor, carried a white bouquet to the altar of the Virgin Mary.

The flower girl, Florence Kolodziej, dressed in white net trimmed in blue, carried a basket of yellow baby mums.

The groom and his attendants, Joe Harabuda and Emil Kodl, brother of the bride, wore dark suits.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the P.N.A. Hall.

The newlyweds will reside at the Jasinek farm in the town of Withee. The bride is employed at the Blue Moon plant.
