Fabian, 69, Greenwood, died on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Loyal. The Rev. Danial Zimmerman officiated. Burial followed in the Lutheran Cemetery, Loyal. Pallbearers were Bill Schultz, Todd Rohde, Jack Jensen, Randy Roehl, Richard Rohde and Brian Olstinski. Maxine Ione Stone was born Dec. 6, 1938, in Neillsville, to Curtis and Irene (nee Voldness) Stone. She was raised and received her education in Neillsville, graduating from Neillsville High School in 1956, and following graduation, she worked at First National Bank, Neillsville. She was united in marriage to Frank A. Fabian on Sept. 24, 1960, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Neillsville. They lived and farmed in the town of Eaton their entire married life. Her husband, Frank, died on Feb. 7, 2003. She continued to live on the farm until her death. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she had been active in the Trinity Lutheran Church Women and taught Sunday School. She had many interests, but especially loved spending time with her family, cooking, baking, bird watching and flowers. Survivors include her three sons, Frank, Jr. (Darlene), Greenwood; Michael (Donna), Neillsville; Jody (Stephanie), Greenwood; six grandchildren, Matthew, Miranda, Conner, Jacob, Teaera and Traven Fabian; and one sister, Ruby Stone, Neillsville. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Frank. Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements. |
