A very pretty ceremony took place at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church at Lublin on Sunday afternoon, June 3, 1945, when Rev. Father Wisniewski joined in holy wedlock Tadeus, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Popowski, and Wally Kijak, both of Lublin. The wedding took place at 2:30 o’clock.

The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white glove satin with bodice embroidered with tiny seed pearls. The gown had a long train and a sweetheart neckline. She wore a single stream of pearls, a gift of the groom. Her fingertip veil was set in place by a Dutch crown of beautiful orange blossoms.

The best man, Thomas Kijak of Lublin, brother of the bride, wore a black tuxedo and black bow tie. Michael Holas of Lublin was usher. He wore a black tuxedo and black bow tie.

Miss Angeline Demianuik of Gilman and Miss Irene Staffin of Chicago, were bridesmaids. Each wore a floor length gown of blue rayon net with bodice of embroidered rayon net. Each wore single strands of pearls and headdresses of white net in the form of halo set off with pink, blue, yellow and white summer flowers. The bridesmaids carried colonial bouquets of white daisies, larkspurs, snapdragons and tea roses.

Miss Adeline Rojeski of San Francisco, Calif., was maid of honor. She wore a pink floor length gown of rayon net, bodice of embroidered rayon net,. On her neck she wore a single strand of pearls. Her headdress was a white net halo set off with pink, blue, yellow and white summer flowers. She carried a colonial bouquet of daisies, larkspurs, snapdragons and tea roses.

The groom is a graduate of Gilman High School.

A reception was held at the Lublin Club Hall, where 150 guests were served and enjoyed dancing in the evening to the music of the Nightingales of Thorp.

The young couple will take a week’s honeymoon and on their return will reside on a farm in the Town of Roosevelt (Taylor Co.).

Niewinski of Cicero, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Ray Popowski, Leon Popowski, Mr. and Mrs. S. Mnichowicz and family, of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kulwiec of Medford.
