Thursday, 23 Mar. 1944 Severson, Vera (Marriage – 19 Mar. 1944) Miss Vera Severson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Severson, town of Beaver, became the bride of Harold Heck, town of York, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Heck, town of Easton, in a double ring ceremony on Sunday, March 19 at 1:30 p.m. The ceremony was performed at Sunset Point, the home of the officiating pastor, Rev. George W. Longenecker, of the Congregational church. The bride wore a dress of white net over white silk, and she carried red roses. Her maid of honor, Miss Opal Hendrickson, had a dress of yellow crepe over cream silk, and she too had red roses. The groom was attended by his twin brother, Harvey Heck. A reception was held on Sunday evening at the home of the groom’s parents, for about fifty relatives and friends. The young couple began housekeeping at once of the groom’s farm in the town of York. |
