A. Cutts transacted business at Neillsville, Monday. Aunt Fanny Ingles was reported on the sick list, this week. Miss Amy Klein spent Friday afternoon at the Hub City. Prof. E. Hirsch of Loyal, spent Saturday with relatives here. Walter Cook transacted business at Spencer, Monday, between trains. Mrs. Wm. N. Creed and son Nyole were Marshfield visitors, Saturday. Mrs. J. R. Kuehnau did shopping at Marshfield last Saturday afternoon. Miss Esther Johnson spent Wednesday with friends at Stevens Point. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Feuerheim and son returned home Monday, from Eidsvold. Joe Greenwood visited his son Geo. and family at Ironwood, from Friday until Monday. Mr. and Mrs. A. Cook spent Sunday, with their daughter, Mrs. Edwin Lulloff at Colby. W. C. Abel of Colby was the guest of his friend Martin Hellstad in our village a few hours Sunday. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Chester Sheldon a daughter, Tuesday, Feb. 18. Mother and babe doing nicely. Word was received here Sunday, of the death of Mrs. Salter’s father, who died that morning at Madison. A load of young people from Spencer drove up here last Friday night to witness the basket ball game. Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Smith and son of Loyal spent Sunday in our village, the guest of relatives and friends. Anton Peterson of Milladore was the guest of his friend Miss Clara Brown, in our village over Sunday. Miss C. Damon of Spencer, came Friday and visited her aunt, Mrs. J. R. Kuehanu, until Saturday noon. J. W. Salter was called to Madison, Saturday, by the serious illness of Mrs. Salter’s father, Mr. Gallagher. The high school basket ball team defeated the Colby Highs here last Friday night by the score of 13 to 25.
