Surnames: Straub, Podewels, Sazama, Robsky, Lussenden, Hildebrandt, Minshall, Roth, Reyer, Tuttle, Olson, Wiersig, Fricke, Parkhill, Heintz, Fisher, Sachse, Lueloff, Kramer, Breit Source: Colby Phonograph (Colby, Clark County, Wis.) 06/26/1913 Cherokee - June 26, 1913 Mrs. Fred Straub is very sick with pneumonia. Ernest Podewels raised a large barn, last Friday. John Sazama raised an addition to his barn, Wednesday. Mrs. Wm. Robsky is visiting relatives at Watertown. Lester Lussenden of Wausau, visited at Hildebrandt’s, Sunday. Miss Viola Minshall of Abbotsford, visited Mrs. Will Roth, Sunday. Carl Reyer returned from a visit at Cumberland, Monday afternoon. Hazel Tuttle of Abbotsford, is visiting at the home of Fred Olson. Rudolph Wiersig and wife were given a cat music serenade, Monday evening. Marguerite Lussenden of Spencer, visited at Hildebrandt’s a few days this week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fricke visited with Mrs. J. J. Parkhill at Abbotsford, Sunday. The Equity shipped a car of stock, Tuesday morning. Fred Olson went with the car. Mrs. Otto Heintz went to the Marshfield hospital, Tuesday forenoon, to have an operation. Gottlieb Fisher and a party of young folks of Veefkind, autoed up to Cherokee, Monday evening. George Fisher and wife and brothers, autoed up from Veefkind, and visited at Hildebrandt’s Monday evening. Remember the 4th of July celebration at Cherokee. Everybody invited to come and have a good time. Fred Sachse of Cleveland, arrived here Wednesday, to visit his son Louis and family, in the town of Hull. Edwin and Elgard Lueloff of the town of Colby, tried their luck at fishing at Cherokee, Wednesday afternoon. Adam Kramer of Wausau, and daughter, Mrs. Nick Breit, of Unity, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Fricke, last Friday.
