Miss Beulah Gordee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gordee of Greenwood, became the bride of Melvin W. Alperstett, son of William Alperstett of Greenwood, in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. A. E. Norson Wednesday, June 7, in the United Lutheran Church in Greenwood.

The bride was attired in a gown of white organza, with a sweetheart neckline, long sleeves, long train and lace inserts, and a long veil with train. She wore a three-strand pearl necklace, a gift of the groom, and carried a bouquet of white gladioli, sweet peas and swansonia.

The maid of honor, Miss Verla Gordee, sister of the bride, wore a gown of blue organza and a blue net bonnet headdress and a shoulder corsage of pink gladioli.

Miss Carol Bringe, cousin of the bride, as bridesmaid, was dressed in pink organza and a pink net bonnet headdress and a shoulder corsage of white gladioli. Edward Braun, cousin of the groom, and Earl Gordee, brother of the bride, attended the groom.

Mrs. Don Warner played Medlshon’s wedding march, and also, accompanied Mrs. Louis Behrens, when she sang “Because,” and “Crown will The Benediction” during the service. The church was beautifully decorated with bouquets of lavender and yellow iris and red roses.

After the ceremony, dinner at 5:30 o’clock was served to 65 guests at the home of the bride’s parents.

Both young people graduated from Greenwood high School with the class of 1939. The bride also graduated from Eau Claire State Teachers’ college and has been teaching the past three years. After a honeymoon in northern Wisconsin the young couple will be at home on the farm of the groom’s father.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Wachsmith of Owen and Carol Bringe of Viroqua attended the wedding.
