----Trogner, Jean (Marriage – 21 June 1944)

St. Mary’s Catholic Church was the scene on Wednesday morning, June 21, of the marriage of Miss Jean Trogner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Trogner, Neillsville, and Ernest Kuhn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuhn, town of Washburn. The Rev. J. A. Biegler, pastor of St. Mary’s church, officiated at the double-ring service.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was dressed in a white satin, lace trimmed gown, and carried an arm bouquet of white roses. The matron of honor, Miss Janet Short, wore a dress of pink chiffon, and the bridesmaid, Miss Louis Kuhn, sister of the groom, was dressed in a gown of blue chiffon. Both attendants carried pink roses. Robert Opelt and David Krutsch attended the groom.

The bride’s little brother, John Trogner, Jr., dressed in a white suit, was the ring bearer, and her sister, Miss Betty Trogner, wearing a white chiffon dress, was the flower girl. Both the bride and the groom’s mothers wore navy blue.

A reception for the bridal party was held in the W. R. C. hall which was decorated in pink and blue.

The bride was graduated from the Neillsville High School in 1942, and since that time has been employed in the office at the high school, and as assistant in the children’s library. The groom is engaged in farming.

For her going away outfit, the bride chose a blue linen suit with white accessories. After a short wedding trip, the couple will be at home on the groom’s farm on Rt. 4, Neillsville./

Out of town guests who were here for the wedding included: Mrs. C. V. Moe, Minneapolis, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Lester Carteron, Vesper, Wis.; and Miss Ruth Stelloh, Milwaukee.
