News: Spring Creek Valley (22 June 1944)

Thursday, 22 June 1944 Spring Creek Valley – by Mrs. Henry Nebel Mr. and Mrs. William Reisner of Chili, accompanied by Ludwig Faber, autoed to Medford Sunday, where they visited the Pete Faber family, and also went to Wausau, where they called on Peter Faber, who is patient in a sanatorium. Silas Foemmel is having a crew of men repairing his barn basement. Emil Ziegler is having his barn shingled. Mr. and Mrs. William G. Lindow and daughter, Alvira, visited at the Edward Ott Home, Lynn, Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Lindow are the parent of a baby boy born at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, June 14. The little fellow will go by the name, Jay Gordon. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Krause, of Grant, spent Thursday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Faber and son, Norman. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Roehl and family, Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Lee and family spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nebel. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Grimm, accompanied by Mrs. Otto Rush and son, Allan and Ervin, were on a fishing trip near Webster, recently. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Lee and daughter, Connie, and son, James, spent Tuesday evening at the Gregory Wolf home. Mrs. Jurgenson of Milwaukee is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Portz. The ladies are sisters. The following helped little Laura Grottke celebrate her first birthday Sunday: Mr. and Mrs. Claude Aumann and family, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schultz and family, York; Mr. and Mrs. Gust Reich, York; Mr. and Mrs. Leland Reich, York. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Schlinsog and son Ronald of York, and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Lee and children were Friday evening supper guests of Mr. and Mrs.
