On Saturday, June 1st, 1946 at 10 o’clock in the morning a very pretty wedding took place at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church, Thorp, when Walter Koltis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Koltis, and Daisy Boardman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.C. Boardman of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. Father R. Rucki, who performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a gown of white lace and net over ninon satin. The fitted bodice, which formed a pointed peplin in front, was of lace and trimmed with ruffled lace.. The neckline was of sweetheart style. The long fitted lace sleeves came to a point at the wrist with a ruffled lace edge. The full net skirt ended in a long train. Her fingertip veil fell from a pearl beaded tiara. She wore a gold cross and chain necklace, a gift of the groom, and carried a white bouquet of roses, sweet peas and lilies of the valley.

The bridesmaids were Miss Leocadia and Adella Koltis, sisters of the groom. Their gowns were of pink net over ninon satin and bonnets to match. Each wore a gold gross and chain necklace, a gift of the bride, and carried bouquets of pink and white carnations and sweet peas.

Theodore Koltis, brother of the groom, acted as best man and Adolph, brother of the groom, was the other usher. They were attired in green pin stripe suits with white carnations as boutonnieres. The groom wore a black suit with a white rose as boutonniere.

After the ceremony a reception was held at Club 73, where a very delicious dinner was served. The wedding dance was held at the American Legion Hall in Thorp.

The bride graduated from the Thorp High School in 1943. The bride and groom are both employed at Blue Moon Foods, Inc.

The newlyweds reside in the house they purchased in Thorp.

Out of town guests who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mayer of Milwaukee; Miss Jan Johnson of Houston, Minn., Walter Patchak of Sheboygan Falls; Miss Betty Hoeshell of Forest Park, Ill.; Theodore Leocadia and Adella Koltis of Chicago; and Miss Viola Thompson of Gilman.
